It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Nadel. He passed quietly of natural causes at his Santa Barbara home with his wife Julie by his side. He was a few weeks short of his 93rd birthday.
Nadel touched many lives over his 90+ year life. He started Jack Nadel International back in the fifties with a simple premise: “Ideas That Mean Business.” The company was started by Jack and his late wife, Elly, and JNI has always been a family business (Jack, Bro-Marty, and now Craig at the helm) – with a philosophy that supports equality of opportunity.
From that single tiny office in Los Angeles, Jack watched as his company navigated the decades that followed. Included in that successful stewardship was pioneering name brands in the promotions business including the Pierre Cardin brand.
World War II hero, philanthropist, award winning writer, speaker and later in life a Huffington Post blogger, Jack was a master of anything he became involved with, and had the sheer determination to make his legacy a success. He mentored so many future entrepreneurs and vetrepreneurs and his latest book, “The Evolution of an Entrepreneur” became an award winning E-Book. He also won a Lifetime Achievement Award in Entrepreneurism from City College of Santa Barbara.
He was a pioneer in the promotional products business, being one of the first to hire women in the industry, and inductee into the PPAI Hall of Fame as well as Chairman of PPAI.
Jack is survived by his wife Julie, children Judie and Jeff, step children, Shari and Hillary, and eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
