Freight Billing Analyst – Los Angeles (LAX Area)

Jack Nadel International, a nationally renowned creative marketing, promotional products & merchandise solutions company (www.nadel.com) is seeking a Freight/Billing Analyst to join our client services team.

Job Description:

The Ideal candidate must have a high level of energy and professionalism, think critically, feel confident and comfortable handling multiple tasks, and not be afraid to ask questions.  They must also have excellent customer service skills, strong written/verbal English skills, be extremely detail-oriented, and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.  We are looking for someone who is interested in building a future with a stable, reputable company that just celebrated 62 years in business.

Core Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Download weekly invoice files for UPS & Fed Ex and ensure charges are posted to orders the same day in order to expedite client billing.
  • Research non-referenced charges to ensure correct billing.
  • Breakdown courier invoices and post to correct project.
  • Create batches and post to Accounts Payable.
  • Process payments to vendors on line (e.g. FedEx)
  • Work with external broker on trucking quotes and scheduling.
  • Research unbilled backlog and work with sales, vendors and other internal departments to resolve.
  • Revise invoices as needed to meet client specifications and requirements.
  • Distribute client invoices via email or post.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3 years of freight / logistics experience
  • 2 years data entry experience
  • Possess superior customer service skills.
  • Must be highly detailed and very organized with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
  • Reliable, positive and professional attitude.
  • Pro-active with a team-player outlook.
  • Outgoing, friendly and approachable personality
  • Excellent phone skills with strong email and writing etiquette.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines

Account Coordinator/Account Executive Trainee – Houston

Job Description:

This person will work on a wide variety of projects in a fun and very fast paced environment.  Candidate must have a high level of energy and professionalism, think critically, feel confident and comfortable handling multiple tasks, and not afraid to ask questions.  They must also have excellent customer service skills, strong written/verbal English skills, be extremely detail-oriented, and have a ‘can do’ attitude.   We are looking for someone interested in building a future with a great company that is stable, reputable and just celebrated 62 years in business.

Initial Core Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sales support— Assist account executives as needed and provide self-directed backup client contact when AE is out of the office or unavailable.
  • Develop materials such as sales letters, power point presentations, and Microsoft Word proposals to submit to clients.
  • Drive product research.
  • Handle all orders from start to finish; from order placement until the product is in the client’s hands. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying pricing, following up with manufacturers, and tracking orders through delivery.
  • Maintain great customer service and pleasant communication with all new and existing clients.
  • Under direction of the AE, place and follow up on sample orders, project specifications or client requests, which may require the in-person pick up or delivery of samples and orders when necessary.
  • Coordinate with corporate staff (Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.) on client accounts.

Transitional Core Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through research, networking and cold calling.
  • Create target prospect lists based on industry, company size, number of employees and other metrics.
  • Manage marketing resources in the development of proposals and presentations to prospects, including customer needs assessment, identification of required resources, management of customer expectations, and all subsequent follow-up necessary to close or expand existing business.
